Nexus Market architecture

From The Onion Encyclopedia, the free reference. Last updated 2026-05-08 at 14:57 UTC.

This article is a related reference. The main article in this collection is Nexus Market.

A focused architectural reference: the network layer, the multisig contract, the client-side cryptography model.

Network layer

Three concurrent v3 hidden service onions, each on an independent guard pool. Rotation cadence is 24 hours; new addresses signed before old addresses begin a 96-hour decommission window. The triplication isolates congestion events to a single mirror without taking the platform offline.

Multisig contract

2-of-3 multisignature escrow with buyer, vendor, and platform each holding one key. Any two are required to move funds. The contract design is the platform's headline anti-exit-scam structural feature.

Client-side cryptography

Order payloads, vendor messages, and PGP private operations occur in the buyer's browser before transmission. Session keys cycle on every login and are not persisted server-side. A seizure of the infrastructure yields per-session-keyed ciphertext, not plaintext.
